Halloween
Weeks before, Sydney insisted she wanted to be a bunny for Halloween.  But while we were out one day, she saw the ducky costume and decided to change her mine.  Made our job easier.  But then she got a bunch more costumes for "dress-up".  And although it appeared as though she was going to stick with the ducky as this year's costume (she wore it to Boo at the Zoo), she changed her mind at the last minute.  She decided she wanted to be a giraffe for trick-or-treating.  And so she was.
And this is what happens after trick-or-treating.  Even if it was only around the block.
Boo at the Zoo
The weekend before Halloween, we took Sydney to Boo at the Zoo.  She had fun being dressed up as a duckie and going from tent to tent filling up her bucket with candy.
Ticket in hand, ready to get some CANDY!!
A GIANT black widow spider.  Yeah, it's pretty creepy.
Tons of pumpkins!
Counting all her loot!
Pumpkin Patch
Last week, Sydney's class took a field trip to the pumpkin patch.  In order for the kids Sydney's age to be able to go, at least one parent had to chaperon.  We both decided to go along for the trip.  We all had a fun time.
We started off with a hay ride.  It was a short ride around the farm, but there were scarecrows all over the place.  And the kids enjoyed waving to all of them.
The obligatory shots with Momma and Mommy.
That's her friend Seth.
She told me to take this pic.  LOL!
At least she sat still for this pic.  LOL!
"Look at all the pumpkins, Momma!!"
Off to pick out some small pumpkins
Sydney went right to work looking for the perfect pumpkin.  She must have picked out a couple dozen pumpkins before she was happy with the ones she decided on.
Everyone loved her sweater.  And when they asked who made it for her, she proudly told them her "Gramma" made it.
That's Sydney with her friend and classmate, Alexa.
Let's get some big pumpkins
After the rest of her class left (we kept Sydney out of school for the rest of the day), we went looking for some bigger pumpkins.
